Renokrew Celebrates a Strong Year of Building Together: 2025 in Review

Article 2025 Recap (2)

A People-First Milestone Year

This year marked 30 years since Renokrew was founded in 1995, and we celebrated the way we always do by centring our people and the stories that got us here. From our “Wall of Memories” to a milestone cake and a family-style “krew” party, it was a reminder that long-term work is built on long-term relationships.

We also earned Great Place to Work® Certification this year, anchored in the values we try to live every day: pride, integrity, and collaboration

And as we grew, we welcomed new team members who were already part of the rhythm of how we work: Michael Parker, Chantel Bizarro, Mohammad Hajiagha , and Hamid Ehsaee.

Safety, Centred on Real Voices

In construction, the best safety culture is practical, consistent, and shared out loud. During Safety Month, we kept safety front and centre with real site voices through our “Safety Check in 60 Secs” series: quick, clear reminders that safety is not a poster on a wall, it’s how the krews show up for each other.

Toronto Marathon

We also carried that mindset into wellness and team energy. “Movement with Purpose” and our Marathon for SickKids brought people together in a way that felt true to who we are with strong effort, good sweat, and a shared reason behind it. 🏃🏃

Showing Up for Community, Culture, and the Environment

Corporate Champion

This year, we were proud to support Indigenous voices through the arts as a TO Live Corporate Champion, including sponsoring the Graffiti Wall at Meridian Hall.

Food Drive

Beyond that, our year had plenty of “roll up your sleeves” community work. We put food on the table through our food drive in a partnership with North York Harvest Food Bank, which includes groceries, gift cards, and food donations.

Support the Blazer - Charity Campaign

We helped raise $300K+ through Support the Blazer with Spark Charity Foundation, supporting the bigger mission of helping families stay close to care when it matters most for Ronald McDonald House Toronto.

Tree Planting

And on Earth Day at Wincott Park for the City of Toronto, we put our shovels in the soil and planted 100+ trees - a simple, visible way to give back to the city we build in.

Jays Night

And of course, we made time to celebrate each other, too. Our Jays Night was exactly what it needed to be: good company, good food, and a chance to step back after a busy stretch and just enjoy being together.

Projects that serve people

Our active projects throughout the year

Across our portfolio, we stayed focused on building spaces that support everyday life in real ways, training and public service, arts and culture, healthcare, community facilities, and shelter. Some of this year’s featured project moments included the Town of Whitby ’s New Fire Training Tower, TO Live, the City of Vaughan’s Rosemount Parking Lot Rehabilitation, Stratford General Hospital, Trinity Lutheran Church , the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) Detachment, and a City of Toronto Shelter and Supportive Housing Development. These are the kinds of projects that remind us why ICI work matters: the best builds are the ones that make daily life safer, more accessible, and more dignified.

Recognition, growth, and sharing our story

Gold Seal employees

We're proud of the people behind the work, including our Gold Seal employees recognized this year: Kian Kiaei, Pedro Pinto, Christopher Zuliani, and Michael Parker.

40 Under 40 in Construction

We also celebrated Pedro Pinto, P.GSC’s 40 Under 40 recognition as part of the bigger story of leadership, consistency, and people-first building.
