24,000 sq ft facility dedicated to Child and Family Services, community programming, cultural activities, and healing initiatives
Includes offices, healing and therapy rooms, a large gathering hall, classrooms, an Elders Lodge, kitchen, and inclusive washrooms
Spaces organized around a central corridor designed to reflect the culture, values, and traditions of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation
Approximately 65,000 sq ft of site works, including earthworks, grading, underground servicing, utilities, and paving
Full structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction, with complete interior fit-out of all service and community spaces
Culturally significant design features incorporated throughout the building
Developed in response to funding arising from the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal’s 2021 CHRT 41 order
Strengthens the Nation’s capacity to exercise jurisdiction over child and family services, with around-the-clock community support
Delivered through close collaboration with community representatives, local trades, suppliers, and stakeholders
