Oversee new build construction & renovations of ICI projects in the GTA and parts of Northern Ontario.
Schedule and monitor project completion
Manage all trade contracts, relationships, and documentation
Develop overall project schedules and ensure project stays within desired timelines & budget
Completely understand full ICI project scopes
Understand and administer contractual agreement between the company, client, and sub-contractors
Address all relevant issues with the appropriate correspondence in a professional manner
Attendance at regularly scheduled project meetings
Responsible for materials purchased for each project
Perform budget forecasting for projects, including design build, construction management, etc.
Produce project specific logs including change orders logs, RFI logs, shop drawing logs, etc.
All necessary coordination of permits, sub-trades, Site Superintendents and all other project stakeholders
Deliver projects on-time, within-budget, within specifications, and compliant with all requirements including but not limited to regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Review all change orders, responses to RFI, signing progress payment requests, and review all documentation.
Control all building-related processes, including permitting, design, construction, and close-out / occupancy
Establish project goals and requirements through interaction with clients
Track and report overall project progress in relation to project goals, requirements, schedules, and budgets
Proactive budget and schedule management
Facilitate contract negotiations
Progressively develop the project budget while maintaining optimum performance
Maintain close communication with Site Superintendent as to adequately support required administrative tasks within all ongoing projects
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants to determine the specifications of the project
Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Resolve any issues and delays
Supervise, mentor, coach and train project personnel
Prepare the baseline schedule, maintaining and updating throughout the project life cycle
Manage the Change Order process
Request for Quotation from inquiry to construction/as built drawings stage
Establish and administer project budgets and schedules and approve changes to scope of work within project management guidelines
Oversee installation schedules and manage client communications & expectations
Select suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotations
Assist with and/or clarify scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers
Manage the submittals and approvals process
Reviewing shop drawings
Responsible for all aspects of the project
Strong General Contractor background and experience in the Canadian ICI construction industry
Project list included on resume

Pay: $90,000.00-$108,000.00 per year

Job Description
Renokrew is proud to be the selected General Contractor, in collaboration with Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services, for the construction of the Thunder Bay Transitional Housing Project.
This essential housing and cultural facility will require the contribution of local General and Skilled Workers, and we are currently seeking individuals who meet the minimum eligibility criteria outlined below.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in various construction tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and general labour duties.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with site-specific regulations.
- Operate tools and equipment as required for assigned tasks.
- Work collaboratively with trades, supervisors, and other crew members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site.
Mandatory Requirements
✔️ Working at Heights Certification
✔️ Worker Awareness in 4 Steps Certification (5 Steps required for supervisors)
✔️ WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
✔️ AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act)
✔️ First Aid (select workers only)
✔️ Work Boots (Renokrew will provide all other required safety gear)
Additional Task-Specific Certifications (If applicable to role)
- Traffic Control & Signal Person (mandatory if performing this work)
- Heavy Equipment Operator (mandatory if operating equipment)
- Elevated Work Platform/Scissor Lift Operator (mandatory if operating equipment)
- Basics of Supervising (for trades with Foreman if 5 Steps has not been completed)
- Excavation/Trenching Awareness
